His Word Shall Equip Me For Every Good Work

“2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
Reflection
13th April 2025, Sunday I should be stressed, since I had received the Prosecution’s statement of facts last Friday, laying out its case against me. But I am not. First, I have come to accept that God is in control and has already written my story. All I need to do is to live according to His Word and have a heart for His glory in all circumstances. Second, I know that God loves me and will intervene, as He has promised that He will not allow me to be tempted beyond what I can bear, but will always provide a way out. What else can I do, but glory in tribulation, since it will develop my perseverance, and with perseverance, my character, which will finally produce hope that does not disappoint, for I have the love of Christ poured out in me!
Application
Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. When I know and obey God's Word, I am ready for God's work - regardless of the circumstances.
Thank You, Lord, for equipping me for every good work through Your Word. I have learnt to be humble and to be willing to count it all loss for Christ. My eternal life of joy and blessings does not depend on the treasures I store for myself on earth. My treasure is where Your kingdom is and my inheritance cannot be eaten away by moth or dust. I am called to serve You and I must remember this in my heart, for it is so easy to be self-seeking. Forgive me when I am. I only want to be more and more like You every day. I ask that You be my guide always, in Your precious and holy name. Amen.
