His Spirit Testifies of His Love

“1 John 4:12-14 12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Saviour of the world.”
Reflection
1st June 2025 Am I greatly beloved by God? Yes, I am! I know this because the Holy Spirit has told me so. God’s love flows through me and keeps me going even when things look bleak and hopeless. I cling on to this truth – that God loves me and will pursue me to the ends of the earth – and I want to share His love with my parents and my patients. They have yet to come to know of His love for them. Yes, His Spirit in us testifies of the Father’s love for us and enables the eyes of our heart to see our Lord Jesus as the Saviour of the world.
Application
I pray for the Holy Spirit to break down the walls of my parents' hearts, so that they may see and know how much my Lord Jesus Christ loves them and gave His life for them. As for me, I am called to share the gospel with them and to testify of His grace and mercy, by living a life transformed. When my parents look at me, what do they see? Am I reflecting the glory of God?
Dear Lord, let me be a vessel of Your love for my parents. Teach me to love them because I often struggle to find the words to express my gratitude and affection. Yet, You are a God who showers me with love and grace. Thank You for using me. Thank You for Your guidance and instruction. I want to be in union with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
