He Will Bring Me Forth to the Light

June 7, 2026

Scripture

Micah 7:8-9 Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The LORD will be a light to me. I will bear the indignation of the LORD, Because I have sinned against Him, Until He pleads my case And executes justice for me. He will bring me forth to the light; I will see His righteousness.

Reflection

16th December 2025 The Prosecution had appointed an expert witness from the US to testify against me. My lawyers asked if I was keen to likewise hire a firm from the US to act for me as my expert witness. When I enquired about the cost, the firm quoted me a fee north of USD750,000! My response was immediate – no. Perhaps it was the ludicrous fee, but in my heart, I knew that God was telling me to rely only on Him. I was not going to win this case based on financial resources or human strength. This was my spiritual battle, one that I could only win by calling upon the Holy Spirit to lead me. I did have spiritual forces at my disposal – the angels, who would fight for me, because Jesus commanded them to. What, then, was my role? To be still and to act only as His Spirit led.

Application

Psalm 20:6-7 6 Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand. 7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. Trust in the name of the Lord our God, the Mighty One who saves. We, who have been chosen and called, are also anointed by Him. Because He is our Shepherd, He has also prepared a table before us in the presence of our enemies and our cup overflows. Know this - the battle is for our souls, not the spoils of this earth. That is why we have the assurance that the battle belongs to Him, because we are His beloved.

Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for Your Holy Spirit, who has convicted me of my sinful nature – one filled with pride and the arrogance of self-reliance. I know my trials are but the setting for Your Word to prune me, as I abide in You. I shall yet bear fruit that is pleasing to You. I shall yet see Your goodness in the land of the living! I praise You for Your Holy Name is Peace and Joy. You are worthy to be praised! Amen.
