Resurrection Life and Bearing Fruit Again

May 20, 2026

Scripture

Numbers 17:5, 8 5 And it shall be that the rod of the man whom I choose will blossom; thus I will rid Myself of the complaints of the children of Israel, which they make against you.” 8 Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses went into the tabernacle of witness, and behold, the rod of Aaron, of the house of Levi, had sprouted and put forth buds, had produced blossoms and yielded ripe almonds.

Reflection

4th June 2024 I received a vision from God through Esther, a sister-in-Christ, who was invited to attend our Psalm 23 cell group meeting tonight. The vision was of a long, thin stick, which was dead; then it started to bud, flower and bear fruit. The vision was accompanied by two words, Resurrection Life. What did this vision mean? The Lord said, “ You are elect. You shall do even greater things than I have done. Weeping may last a night, but joy comes in the morning, I shall give you joy – not in plenty, but also when you walk in faith through the valley of the shadow of death. You shall rise again as you lean on me and walk with me. I shall never forsake you.” My brothers and sisters-in-Christ prayed for me and CH at the close of the Psalm 23 meeting. They prayed in tongues. Esther, echoing God’s instructions, reminded me to love LW as I was one with her. I laughed during the prayer. I knew it was true. I knew it was the ‘natural thing’ to do, yet I had not uttered such words of love for so long. God was reminding me to love like He loves. It was the key to my resurrection life.

Application

Matthew 22:37-38 Jesus said (to him), “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ When we love divinely, God will use our spiritual gifts to minister to others. We will not only be bearers of good news, we will bring spiritual life to those who are dead in sin. (Ephesians 2:1-10)

Prayer

Dear Lord, I know You love me deeply, more than I can imagine. I know You are walking with me, carrying me even, as I go through my trials. You see my burden and heavy heart, but You have promised me life and peace. Yes, I want to be in union with You, Lord Jesus. I want to be a man who understands Your heart, that I may go where You lead. Whilst You have given me eternal life and promised that I shall be a co-heir with You in heaven, You have also given me victory on earth. As a dead stick can come alive in Your hands, I know I shall blossom again and bear fruit for You, as long as You say it. Speak me into life again, O Lord. Forgive my sins, my pride, my selfishness. Let me be of service to You, sharing my testimony and preparing the world for Your coming. Holy Spirit, thank You for giving me the words to pray. I want to pray in the Spirit. I want to be in union with the Spirit. Teach me, O Lord, and give me the wisdom to know Your plans for me. All this I ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
