"I Will Watch Over You To Build and To Plant."

May 12, 2026

Scripture

Jeremiah 31:35, 27-28 35Thus says the LORD, Who gives the sun for a light by day, The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, Who disturbs the sea, And its waves roar (The LORD of hosts is His name): 27 “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and the seed of beast. 28 And it shall come to pass, that as I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to throw down, to destroy, and to afflict, so I will watch over them to build and to plant, says the LORD.

Reflection

29th November 2023 I started the day seeking God’s direction by reading His Word (“Show me Your Truth from Your Word, O Lord!”) and the verses in Jeremiah 31:35 and 27-28 were revealed to me. Yahweh had first confirmed His presence through the nature around me, as I sat and typed these words – He is the creator of the sun, the moon and the stars. He controls the tides and weather. He then assured me that although I had made bad decisions in my life and brought harm to myself, the time had come for Him to rebuild my life. He has sown the seeds and will watch over me as I fulfil my heavenly mission.

Application

What is my specific heavenly mission? To be honest, I am still learning to hear His voice with clarity, so this journal seeks to record and confirm what I hear by seeing if what I have heard from Him comes to pass. If it does not, then I need to return to Him to understand where I had misheard or how I had misinterpreted what I had heard. Over time, as I read His Word, speak with Him and journal, I shall be able to see the wonderful hand of God in my life, shaping me to be His instrument.

Prayer

Thank You, Lord, for Your blessings! I shall rejoice in You! My soul shall be joyful in my God. For You have redeemed me to make me an instrument for Your service. Direct me in the path I should go and I shall walk in it. I ask this in Your precious and holy name, Amen.
